Welcome to the Limelight

That's right, the Limelight has reopened. For those of you who do not know what the Limelight is; it was an old church in New York City which turned into a famous nightclub. It opened in1983 till the early 90's. I recall my mother and aunts telling me stories of their clubbing days here at the Limelight. It was where all the cool people went. Limelight later reopened as Avalon, for my generation, in 2003-2007. Now, it is home to a very large marketplace. Raised in NYC, it's so weird to see how things transition through time. I've seen factories turn into condos, homes turned into bakeries, and decrepit areas turn into luxury living. Limelight Marketplace features organic produce, various shops and eateries. Opening day is this Friday, May 7th at 2PM. This time, sneakers and hats are okay.
