Cheers for Cupcakes

This has been a coupon weekend! I used up on slimming massage yesterday and today I used my cupcake voucher. There is a new place in my area called Cupcake in Heels. I like to try all the new bakeries in my area to see the competition and to have an idea of where to get a good cupcake without venturing out to the city. I have to say the cupcakes were actually delicious. I'm very particular about my cupcakes. The cake must be moist and soft; the frosting should be creamy but firm and filled with good flavor. Check, Check and Check!

I received 3 cupcakes with my voucher and a cup of coffee. The cupcakes I chose were coconut (coconut cake with coconut frosting), chocolate and peanut butter (chocolate cake and peanut butter frosting) and red velvet. They were all very flavorful and fresh.

The shop itself was small, cozy and familiar. It was designed exactly how I would decorate it-purple, Parisian and filled with fun items such as cupcake stands, ornaments and jars filled with treats. I'm inspired to open a shop like this someday. Until then, I wouldn't mind going back and grabbing some more delicious cupcakes and supporting a fellow baker.
