As I ran out of the office, my co-worker shouted "Don't be a groupie, be fabulous!" I was on my way to my first fashion show: Anna Sui. What a fabulous show it was! The lights, the music, the beautiful Harajuku girls-all seemed overwelming but lovely none-the-less. I stood in the back of the room behind very tall people. I should have worn heels, but I was pre-warned that I might be standing for a very long time. Well, right before the show began, the bouncer/usher started to select folks to fill in the seat. If you know me at all, you know I was all over that. I asked him politely and I was granted a chair right near the entrance. I captured at first glance the models wearing Anna Sui's new Spring/Summer collection for 2011. Her line was whimsical, hippie-chic. It reminded me of Across the Universe meets rodeo. The clothes were flowy, soft and detailed. As the models walked, I paid more attention to the patterns and the fluidity of the pieces. It was a great idea to keep the hair and make-up simple since the outfits had a story to tell. Imagine a field of wild flowers, wind blowing through your hair and birds chirping in your ear, until you actly hear a honk and you're in the middle of the street and the taxi driver is yelling at you to get out of the way. But you look stunning in your new 2011 S/S Anna Sui outfit!

Great post! Loved the commentary and photos! xoxo
