Filene's Bridal Run

On February 5th, I decided to attend the Filene's Bridal Run... I WAS SOOOO NOT PREPARED! Doors opened at 8AM and I took my sweet time to arrive. My thoughts: I'll get there after 8AM and the crowd will subside. My aunt and I got a cup of coffee and strolled to the train. When we arrived at Union Square I began to wonder if we were enough. Should I have brought more folks with me? Answer: YES!!!! totally not prepared for what I saw next: an endless line of women, men, cameras and posters. I figured I wouldn't be in until 9 maybe 10AM. However, we arrived at 8 and waltzed in at 8:20AM. Not bad, so I thought. We walked in and the store clerk told us to come back in 2 hours since all the dresses were off the racks. That's right; every single dress was taken off the racks and into the hands of many brides. Some brides took about 50 dresses at a time. The store should have gave a limit to the number of dresses one could take. I think 10 is a reasonable amount. I wandered around with my aunt to see what the merchandised looked like. Well, don't even think to take, let alone look, at a dress. I'm surprised these women didn't piss on the dresses to mark their territory. It was insane the way these women reacted. Some went down to their skippies and not shaved in certain place, if you catch my drift. When I finally tried on a dress, I had about 5 women come up to me asking if I would trade my dress with one of theirs. I did not end up buying anything at Filene's but my aunt and I had a fun adventure and a story to tell.
